Introduction
This Lesson Pack explores the physical properties of diamonds, how they are sorted, and the impacts on the communities where they are mined. We also look briefly at some of the ethical issues surrounding the use of diamonds.
The pack is divided into three subject areas – Science, Geography and Citizenship. Each area offers a stand-alone teaching resource but you might also find useful resources in the other subject areas.

The pack comprises a short PowerPoint presentation, worksheets, factsheets and some hints and tips for its use.
